NCEB utilizes sophisticated Practice Management Software that has its own scheduler and its own Radiology Information Systems (RIS) package. With the further press towards Electronic Medical Records/Electronic Hospital Records (EMR/EHR) by physician professional societies as well as the government, our software has already developed several links with well-known EMR/EHR products and can link with any others using HL7 protocol which is standard in the medical world. You can tailor the software to meet your needs.
NCEB has also partnered with an EMR company that has been in existence since 1992 and, of course, is CCHIT certified. This is important for quality of product. This product also makes all data easily transferable when needed; this means that you have total control over your patient information.
NCEB offers these software programs through an Applications Service Provider (ASP) model using a Virtual Private Network (VPN). This helps our clients to be able to budget a small monthly amount instead of having to deal with a huge capitol outlay. NCEB takes care of all updates, claims submissions and patient statements while backups are done in a HIPAA compliant manner and copies of the backups are kept in two different secure sites. This software, with its flexibility, is also available for purchase.
The ASP model also enables the provider to do part of the billing process while NCEB does the backend, if that fits with the provider's needs.
NCEB also offers scanning to our clients so that paper can become a dim memory for the medical office instead of a continual nightmare of misfiled charts, lost lab reports, lost consult requests, lack of storage and office space, etc.
